Clearance Pruning
Trees are valuable assets in any garden, but as they grow, their branches can sometimes begin to interact with buildings, gutters, pathways, fences and other structures. Thoughtful clearance pruning can help manage these conflicts while maintaining the health, structure and natural character of the tree.
Our approach to clearance pruning considers the tree as a whole. We can selectively remove or reduce branches that are damaging buildings, interfering with structures or contributing to excessive leaf and debris accumulation in gutters. Where appropriate, pruning can also help manage access points for possums and other wildlife.
Clearance pruning isn't always about removing as much growth as possible. By making considered cuts and retaining the tree's natural form, we aim to create appropriate separation from surrounding structures while preserving the tree as a healthy and valuable part of your garden.
Pruning can also be used to individualise trees and shrubs within a landscape, creating greater definition, depth and visual balance. Our arborists consider both the practical and aesthetic requirements of your garden, while ensuring pruning decisions support the tree's long-term health.
Whether you need clearance from a building, improved access around your property, or simply want to enhance the structure and appearance of your garden, we provide thoughtful tree pruning across the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and surrounding areas.

Fruit Tree Pruning
Professional fruit tree pruning is about more than simply reducing the size of a tree. Thoughtful pruning can improve the health, structure and productivity of your fruit trees while making them easier to harvest, net and maintain.
Our approach to fruit tree pruning considers the individual tree, its environment and your goals for fruit production. We selectively prune to achieve a manageable size for harvesting and netting, while thinning crowded interior growth to improve light penetration and airflow throughout the canopy. This can help minimise branches rubbing against each other, reduce damage and create conditions that support healthier growth.
We also remove dead, damaged and diseased wood as part of our broader approach to tree health. By carefully balancing canopy density, structure and fruit production, pruning can encourage productive new growth, improve fruit quality and help maximise yield without compromising the long-term health and vitality of your tree.
Whether you have a single backyard fruit tree, an established garden or a larger orchard, our holistic approach to fruit tree care focuses on creating healthy, productive trees that are well suited to their environment.
Our experienced arborists and qualfied horticulturists can assess your fruit trees and recommend a considered pruning approach based on their health, structure, growing environment and your objectives. Or if it’s simply advice and instruction you require we can provide that too.

Possum Guarding & Tree Protection
Possums are an important part of our native environment, but persistent browsing can place significant stress on trees. Overgrazing of foliage, buds and new growth can weaken a tree over time, reducing its ability to recover and, in severe cases, contributing to long-term decline.
Our approach to possum guarding focuses on protecting your trees while supporting their ongoing health and vitality. Rather than simply installing a guard, we assess the individual tree and its surroundings to identify how possums are accessing the canopy. Nearby trees, vegetation, fences, buildings and other structures can all provide alternative routes around a trunk guard.
Where appropriate, we create a clear separation between the tree and surrounding vegetation or structures before installing clear perspex possum guards around the trunk. This creates an effective physical barrier that helps prevent possums from climbing into the canopy, reducing browsing pressure and giving the tree an opportunity to recover.
Our holistic approach to tree care considers the wider environment as well as the immediate problem. By combining effective possum protection with thoughtful arboricultural assessment, we aim to preserve canopy, minimise ongoing stress and support the long-term health and resilience of your trees.
We can provide possum guarding and tree protection across the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne, with solutions tailored to the individual tree, its surroundings and the needs of your property.

Dead-wooding
Deadwood is a natural part of a tree’s life cycle, but larger or unstable dead branches can become a safety risk, particularly around homes, pathways, driveways and other areas where people gather.
Our deadwooding services involve the selective removal of dead, damaged or unstable branches to reduce potential hazards and help minimise opportunities for pests and diseases to establish. Removing appropriate deadwood can also support the tree’s ongoing health while maintaining its natural structure and character.
Deadwooding can also enhance the aesthetic qualities of a tree. Carefully removing selected branches can reveal the natural form, structure and architecture of the tree, allowing its shape and character to become a feature within the landscape.
Our approach is always considered rather than excessive. We take care to protect surrounding gardens, plants and property while carrying out the work, and pride ourselves on leaving every site immaculate once the job is complete.
